Imperial green velvet Furlane
These Italian slippers are made by hand in the Friuli region, next to Venice. Still worn by the gondoliers in Venice, they are entirely made by hand with velvet coming from Tuscany.
The outsole is made of recycled rubber of bicycle tires. Because of the handsown seams in the sole, it is not waterproof. These Venetian slippers are mainly suitable for the interior, although the current trend makes them very fashionable outside because they are very light and comfortable. Outside, their wear will be faster.
They are designed using the sewing technique popularized by Repetto ballerinas, but invented a long time ago in Italy. The innersole is made in felt, so the furlane Venetian slippers are very flexible, light and comfortable. Moreover, their elegant and sleek design will bring a casual chic touch to your outfits in all circumstances. These timeless slippers are redesigned by Chatelles adding a two-layer cotton lining for extra hold and a mini exterior heel to walk comfortably. The Venetian slippers are available for men and women with a timeless shape, slightly slim and elegant.

At Chatelles’ origins, there is a pronounced taste for stylish flat shoes… So it was logical to add to our flats offer the furlanes, these outdoor Venetian slippers worn by the gondoliers.
Why furlanes? Perhaps because they embody tradition, craftsmanship and a certain air of typically Italian dolce vita. Or because they can be both chic and comfortable. Or is it their colorful velvet that makes you want to collect them all?
We introduce you then the latest little ones of the Chatelles family: 6 pairs for women and, big novelty: 3 pairs for men, all made by hand in Venice with velvet from Tuscany and sold at mini prices.
