With more than 500 original designs created, in a wide choice of materials and colours, Chatelles gives every woman effortless style in flat shoes, without sacrificing femininity or comfort. The Parisian brand takes its inspiration from English slippers, the iconic gentleman's indoor shoes, and reinvents them as outdoor shoes for women, men and children.

Their slim, light design ensures an elegant step and goes beautifully with every outfit, from jeans to evening dress, from the office to the dance floor, to wear at home in winter or when travelling in summer.

We put comfort first by fitting every slipper with a memory foam insole. We have also developed a unique personalisation concept: mix and match the shoe and the accessory to suit your look thanks to our interchangeable accessories, and personalise the design of your choice. Passementerie, velvet bows, triple pompoms, tassels or embroidered initials: accessorise your slippers just as you like.

Chatelles slippers are 100% European in design and manufacture. Inspired by English history, they are designed in Paris, then crafted from the finest Italian and Spanish leathers by the expert hands of artisans in 3 small family-run factories, all located in a little village in northern Portugal, in the Porto region, not far from the Atlantic coast.

For our furlanes, we work with one of the last traditional workshops in Friuli, near Venice. This makes our furlanes authentic and proudly handmade in Italy, which sets Chatelles apart.

Our espadrilles are made in the Madrid region in the oldest Spanish alpargata workshop, run by the same family for 4 generations.

In 2012, after a few years at an investment bank in London, François returned to Paris to found Chatelles, a Parisian brand of women's slippers, customisable with a wide choice of interchangeable accessories: the birth of a single-product brand of flat shoes, renowned above all for their comfort.

His ambition was to create the first brand entirely devoted to slippers, combining elegance, comfort and personalisation for women. Since then, the brand has extended its expertise to men's and children's designs, so that everyone can enjoy the Chatelles style.
